Dimapur, June 17 (EMN): Security forces along with Longding Police apprehended one drug dealer at Wakka village in Longding district, Arunachal Pradesh on June 13.
Based on an input regarding movement of drug dealer in possession of contraband items, a column along with representatives of Longding Police established mobile vehicle check post, an update informed.
During a search of the suspected vehicle, the column apprehended one individual with 720 gm of opium. The drug dealer along with the seized contraband items were handed over to Wakka Police Station for further investigation.
Meanwhile in another operation with state police on the same day, the security forces apprehended two cadres of ENNG at general area of Nongkee village in Changlang district, Arunachal Pradesh.
A joint operation along with state police was launched based on an input regarding the presence of insurgents. During the search of the suspected area, two cadres of ENNG were apprehended.
The apprehended cadres were handed over to Jairampur Police for further investigation.
AR conducts career counselling
Changlang Battalion of Assam Rifles (AR) under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) conducted a career counselling campaign under “Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat” at Khimyong town, Changlang district, Arunachal Pradesh on June 16.
The event was conducted to inform the local youth regarding various career opportunities available in armed forces/CAPF/banking sector and government institutions based on educational qualifications.
The youths were informed about the procedure of recruitment/selection in all these career opportunities and were further assured of assistance towards preparation for the same.
