Dimapur, Jan. 18 (EMN): Sechü-Zubza Youth Organisation and Unified Sporting Club Kiruphema won the U-21 football and senior men volleyball championship title organised by 78th Bn CRPF in collaboration with Sechü-Zubza Football Club at the WAPO ground, in Kohima on Fri. Jan. 18.
In football, Sechü-Zubza Youth Organisation defeated Darlins Club Khonoma in the final match by 4(2) - 2 (2) via tiebreaker to emerge as the winner.
In volleyball final match, Unified Sporting Club Kiruphema beat Darlins Club Khonoma with the set of 3-1 win.
The chief guest Sh Sarbjit Singh DIG (OPS) CRPF Kohima gave away prizes to the winners.
Meanwhile, Thejasekho Sorhi bagged the best goalkeeper award; Menohiekho Nakhro was adjudged as the best player while Thejaseto Gwirie became the highest scorer in football tournament.
In volleyball tournament, the best wing spiker award was awarded to Kevirielie while the best setter and best player award went to Menosielie and Raja.
Altogether, eight teams from three villages; Kiruphema, Jotsoma and Sechü - Zubza participated in both the games during the two-day tournament held at WAPO ground.
The two-day tournament was organised under civic action program to bridge the gap between the public and security forces.
