Sechü Zubza Catholic Women Association completes 25 years

DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 29

[dropcap]S[/dropcap]echü Zubza Catholic Women Association celebrated its silver jubilee on December 27 and 28 under the theme: “Let us hold on to what we have already attained”. The main celebrant of the two-day celebration was Rev Fr Jacob Charalel, Parish Priest Khonoma.
Speaking at the Sunday worship service, Fr Jacob while congratulating the Catholic women of Sechü Zubza for coming this far, urged them to continue with greater zeal and spirit in making the church a vibrant one.
He also lauded and thanked the pioneers and leaders of both past and present for their invaluable service and contributions which he said was responsible in carrying forward the association as well as in keeping it alive.

Further, expressing his happiness on the progress made by the Sechü Zubza Catholic union over the years, he also expressed delight for the sharp increasing number of Catholic families in the village.
“This jubilee is a landmark for the Sechü Zubza Catholic women association. Let us thank God for His numerous blessings upon the Church and its members,” Fr Jacob stated while he also advised the Catholic faithfuls to make use of the 25 years celebration and come up with stronger determination for the glory of God and His kingdom.
“May this jubilee be a time of introspection and retrospection. Take stock of how far you have achieved and make assessment and amendments as you continue to surge ahead,” he reminded the congregation.
The Sunday worship service was chaired by Mezhüno Alice Miasalhou, while Lhouliebeiü Elizabeth and Vilienuo Esther read the scriptures. A special number was presented by Sechü Zubza Catholic Women Association and vote of thanks tendered by Neilezonuo Helena.
The 25 years thanks-giving programme, which commenced on December 27 evening, was chaired by Krukepenuo Felicita. The invocation was pronounced by Neinguzonuo Natalia and scripture reading by Vichünuo Vincencie. Rev Fr Samuel Rector DBS exhorted the congregation, while the Sechü Zubza Catholic youth department presented special number.
