Dimapur, Dec. 9 (EMN): Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has set up a counter at Hornbill Festival, 2022, Kisama to help individuals manage their personal finances.
The counter was also opened to help in various issues like complexity of financial products, prevalence of fraudulent and Ponzi schemes, need for funds to get a better quality of life after retirement etc, stated a DIPR report.
Investment in stock markets not being a very common practice among the Nagas, the officials manning the SEBI counter informed that the local populace visiting the counter for queries and doubts was few but it has received a number of domestic tourists seeking answers related to their investments.
It mentioned that SEBI counter would be opened till December 10 to help investors and those interested in investing in stock markets as well as help to open a demat account, protecting accounts from unauthorised trades, basics of investing etc.
