Seating arrangement for Oct. 31 anti-graft rally in Dimapur

Dimapur, Oct. 29 (EMN): The Public Action Committee (PAC) of the Naga Council of Dimapur (NCD) has given guidelines with regard to seating arrangements at the proposed public rally to be conducted on Oct. 31 at 10 am in Dimapur. A press release from the PAC informed that the seating arrangements have been made community-wise: Angami—Khermahal point to Tragopan hotel side; Ao—Khermahal point to NSCB office; non-Nagas—Khermahal point to Friends Cinema hall; Sumi—Khermahal point to Naga cemetery road; Chakhesang, Lotha; ENPUD, ‘south Naga’, Rengma, Pochury, Rongmei and Zeliang—Khermahal point to Rengma Church. DUCCF, GB Union The Dimapur Urban Council Chairman Federation (DUCCF) and the GB Union, Sadar, has expressed full support to the October 31 public rally organised by the PAC. The two organisations have informed all colony chairmen and Gaon Bura in the municipal area to mobilise every able public member to participate, and dressed in a touch of traditional apparel in coordination with respective tribal hohos. A press release from the federation stated that ‘the fight against syndicate, multiple illegal collection, lease system, etc. led by the PAC in the commercial hub of Nagaland was for the public. The escalated cost of essential commodities, for instance, is a burden for the public, it stated. The federation has urged every citizen to participate and speak out to stop the illegal practices once and for all.
