SDGCC to host ‘SDG one stop destination’ during Hornbill Festival
DIMAPUR — The Sustainable Development Goal Coordination Centre (SDGCC) under the department of Planning and Transformation, Government of Nagaland, will host the third edition of ‘SDG One Stop Destination,’ an immersive experience designed on how SDGs are linked with Naga culture and heritage, during the upcoming Hornbill Festival.
A DIPR report informed that this year’s opening of the ‘SDG One Stop Destination’ pavilion will be graced by Isabelle Tschan, resident representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) on December 1 in the presence of other dignitaries.
On December 2, the programme would include participation of students from Cherry Blossoms in Kohima, a school which supports children with disabilities, highlighting that there is no sustainable development without fostering empowerment and inclusivity for all.
It has invited all the participants to partake in an array of innovative and engaging activities that would make the SDGs more accessible and relatable to everyone and connect to Naga heritage and culture.
‘SDG one stop destination’ would include SDG information desk to explore an array of resources and information on SDGs in the context of Nagaland, where experts would answer questions and guide through the world of sustainable development.
It would also include SDG pledge, SDG quiz, SDG games, SDG videos screening, SDG photo booth, SDG mascot and live streaming.
It has invited everyone to be a part of ‘SDG One Stop Destination’ in making the Hornbill Festival not just a celebration of culture but also a celebration of sustainability.
