SD Jain celebrates school’s day

Our Reporter Dimapur, Nov. 11 (EMN): SD Jain hr. sec. school celebrated its 72nd “annual day” in the SD Jain school auditorium on Nov. 11 in Dimapur. Speaking during the occasion as its guest of honour, the president of SD Jain Samaj and Marwari Samaj, Om Prkash Sethi said that the Jain Samaj has been offering services to the society in the form of a school, a college and a hospital which are not intended to make any profit. ‘Jain community is ready to help people when they need their service,’ Sethi said. He mentioned that the school would be shifted to a new campus that has modern facilities. Works for it will start from next year, the gathering was told. The secretary of the school’s managing committee Ajay Sethi said Jain School had been around since 1920. To the members of the Jain Samaj, Ajay said profit making should not be the only motive as the Jain Samaj is working for the welfare of the society. 'It’s time for us to contribute to nation building,’ he said. ‘Time is changing so is education and in order to cope up, we need to updates ourselves as well,’ he said. SD Jain school is always ready to provide the best possible facilities to students to learn better and for them to excel in life, he said.
