Dimapur, August 25 (EMN): Journalists from Kohima today met Chief Minister TR Zeliang at his office chambers in the Civil Secretariat and replied to queries on a series of issues concerning the state.
A press note from the CMO stated that on the issue concerning Indo-Naga political talks, the chief minister said that only “slogan for solution will not bring real solution, but it requires a formula for final amicable solution to Naga political problem”. He stated that the “GoI understands the unique history of Nagas and NSCN-IM also understands the difficulty of GoI and they know what is best for solution”.
On the issues of oil exploration, Zeliang informed that Mokokchung, Mon, Dimapur, Peren and Wokha are the oil belt of Nagaland.
The chief minister stated that the tussle over oil exploration will soon be resolved and the talks were being held with the Centre over the modalities and percentage of shares between stakeholders.
