MGM Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, organised its 17th Freshers’ Day for the students of Class 11 (Arts, Commerce and Science stream) on August 11 at the school premises.
DIMAPUR — MGM Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, organised its 17th Freshers’ Day for the students of Class 11 (Arts, Commerce and Science stream) on August 11 at the school premises.
The school principal Reji Abraham in his address exhorted the freshers to have courage in order to achieve their dreams, an update stated. “In pursuit of our life journey, we all may experience failures and disappointments, but one should never take a step backwards until we reach our destination,” Abraham said.
He also told the students that they have got only one life and so they must all enjoy and strive to make it a good one.
Vice president of the school, Fr. Giju George, in his presidential address, reminded the students to always have fear of God and also the presence of God to achieve great things in life.
George also urged the students that the education and knowledge they receive from the school should be multiplied and used for the larger goal of betterment of the society. He further advised the students to choose friends wisely.
The main highlights of the programme included a welcome song by Class 12 students, a presentation of dances, songs and other entertainment items and an ice-breaking session for the freshers.
Meanwhile, Ram Janaki Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, also observed its 19th Freshers’ Meet on Monday at the school premises. The school principal highlighted the academic framework of the school and also touched on the importance of freshers’ meet.
Students also organised and presented special songs, dances, fashion shows and other cultural items to mark the occasion. Rahul Basumatary and Preeti Kumari were selected as Mr. & Miss. Freshers’, an update stated.
