Training on disaster management at Mokokchung
Students and emergency personnel during training programmes that were conducted on disaster management in Mokokchung.

Dimapur, March 10 (EMN): The district office of the Home Guards & Civil Defence of Mokokchung in continuance with a programme to impart basic training in disaster management organised a training programme on March 7 in the town hall

Students and members of the Bharat Scouts & Guides and the National Cadet Corps from Mayangnokcha government higher secondary school attended the training programme, updates stated.

The department of Information and Public Relations (IPR), the government’s publicity agency, gave updates informing about the meeting.

During the training, the IPR stated, the participants taught CPR, bandaging, knots, lashing splinting and emergency methods of rescue, the updates stated.

“Theoretical classes along with demonstration and hand on practical were carried out for in depth understanding and learning during the day long training programme,” it stated.

Training on disaster management at Phek

Phek
A similar programme was conducted in Phek. The department of Information and Public Relations reported that a training programme on disaster management was organised by the Home Guards and Civil Defence of Phek at Christian Mission Higher Secondary School, and Kiddies Corner School, Phek on March 6 and the 7th 2020 respectively.

The programme started with a brief introduction about the various aspects of disaster management after which there was a drill and a demonstration on first aid, emergency rescue etc, the updates stated.
