DIMAPUR — The Government Middle School (GMS), Aradhura, at Leirie Chazou in Kohima, in collaboration with 12th Battalion NDRF, conducted a school safety programme on Tuesday.
The programme was led by Inspector Vikhodi Rhetso, team commander of NDRF, Thizama, of 12th BN NDRF, Itanagar, stated a DIPR report.
The school head teacher, Thejangulie Kirha, in his welcome address, expressed gratitude to the NDRF team for organising the school safety programme and stated that the programme would immensely benefit both the students and teachers.
The team commander, Vikhodi Rhetso, highlighted the purpose of the programme and urged the students to actively learn and remember the safety measures. He added that remembering and implementing the safety rules it at the right time can save lives.
The NDRF team demonstrated activities covering earthquake safety measures (do’s and don’ts), how to apply CPR, FBAO, bandaging and dressing, how to control bleeding, how to move or lift patients during emergencies etc.
