School in Karbi Anglong gets new classrooms, toilet block

DIPHU — Two classrooms and a toilet block were inaugurated at Serdihun English School in Dillai, Zero Point on Wednesday.

The constructions were made under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project of CONCOR (Container Corporation of India Ltd.), under the Railway Board, Ministry of Railways, Government of India.

Senior Pastor, Rev. Dr. Solomon Rongpi offered prayers during the inauguration.

Following the inaugural programme, a brief meeting was held during which, the Independent Director (ID) of CONCOR, Chesong Bikramsing Terang explained about CSR.

The cost of the total project was INR 24.27 lakh.

The occasion was attended by Rev. Hilson Senar; Director of Serdihun English School Society, Gobind Tisso; Evangelist, Robinson Engti; Deacon of Diphu Baptist Church, Stephen Engti; Principal of the school Rajesh Kro and the representative of the implementing agency, Anuwar Hussain.

Teachers and students of the schools were also present.
