School Education dept. informs on ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’

Dimapur, Jan. 5 (EMN): Directorate of School Education has notified that the 5th edition of ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ (PPC 2022), a unique interactive programme of the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, with students, teachers and parents would be held through virtual mode in February 2022. PPC is part of the larger movement ‘Exam Warriors’ led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to create a stress-free atmosphere for youngsters.
It informed that in order to select participants who would be featured in the PPC 2022 programme, an online creative writing competition is being conducted at https://www.mygov.in/ on various topics from December 28, 2021, to January 20, 2022, for students of class 9 to 12, teachers and parents. The competitions are the mode through which students, teachers and parents have been invited to frame their questions to be addressed to the prime minister.
It also stated that about 2050 students, teachers and parents selected through competitions on MyGov would be gifted with PPC kits by the Ministry of Education.
Students, parents and teachers can participate in any one theme specified for them. Themes for students included Exam stress management strategies during Covid-19; Azadi Ka Amrit Mahostav; Self-reliant school for self-reliant India; Clean India, Green India; Digital collaboration in classroom; Environmental conservation and climate change resilience.
Themes for teachers are National Education Policy (NEP) for Naya Bharat; The Covid-19 pandemic- opportunities and challenges, while the themes for parents are Beti Padhao, Desh Badhao; Local to global, vocal for local; Lifelong students’ yearning for learning.
In this regard, heads of all schools (NBSE/CBSE/ICSE both government and private) functioning within the state of Nagaland are directed to encourage students, teachers and parents to take part in the online creative competition being conducted to avail the chance for PPC 2022 event.
Meanwhile, Directorate of School Education also notified that the government of India has approved an initiative for setting up of 100 new Sainik Schools under Sainik Schools Society under the Ministry of Defense on affiliation basis through partnership of states/ NGO/ private partners in order to meet the growing demand for Sainik Schools.
It informed that those schools would be affiliated to Sainik Schools Society of Ministry of Defence to create a system that would combine academic rigor with a degree of discipline and provide increased focus on value-based education, which would enable children to develop pride in the rich culture and heritage of the nation.
It has sought applications for registration through online mode from NGO/ private schools/ state government owned schools for affiliating as new Sainik Schools through the web portal https://sainikschool.ncog.gov.in. All the concerned are asked to submit queries, if any, about the scheme to Sainik Schools Society of Ministry of Defence on email: sainikschool.affiliation@gmail.com.
