Dimapur, Aug. 25 (EMN): Salesian College of Higher Education (SCHE) hosted Bosco Singout 2019 in its campus on August 25 with the participation of around 200 students in and around Dimapur.
The programme began with a solemn Eucharist at 9 am presided over by Dr. Fr. Peter Salew, Director of DBYES, Province of Dimapur. In his homily, Dr. Fr. Peter Salew explained on love for neighbours, ten commandments and Christian teachings in the new testament. The mass was enriched with a well-prepared choir of residential students of SCHE, stated Fr. Christudoss, youth director and media wing of Salesian College of Higher Education in an update.
The highlights of the inaugural ceremony consisted of garlanding the statue of Don Bosco, lighting of the lamp, welcome speech, Scripture reading and the motivating talk by the youth director, Fr. Christudoss, and felicitation of the judges of the programme namely Daniel, Martha, and John.
The Bosco Singout 2019 was participated by 10 persons including seven in English and three in Hindi. Unfortunately, three participants failed to turn-up for the programme.
Diphupar-A (Rongmei), Dhobinala Zeliangrong Village were declared winners in English while Samaguri and Ebenezer were placed in the third positions. Singrijan and Lahorijan were declared winners in the Hindi respectively.
The programme concluded with a motivating talk by the director of SCHE, Fr. Thomas.
