Dimapur, April 24 (EMN): The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) have started a four-day workshop about ‘development of resource document for mathematics learning enhancement’ for the elementary school teachers on April 24 at SCERT in Kohima.
According to the press release received here on Tuesday, the director of SCERT, T Sekhose, was the chief guest.
The director in his speech he said “schools in Nagaland are fortunate enough to have good infrastructure, teachers and other resources. But, when we look at the outcome we lack quality.”
Sekhose said according to national achievement survey and school report card shows that the students are not doing well in mathematics.
With this initiative, he is hopeful that in Nagaland mathematics education will improve.
He further encouraged the mathematics teachers to put all their efforts, experiences, ideas, and innovations into the programme.
