SCERT conducts school leadership programme for school heads

DIMAPUR — The School Leadership Academy at the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) held a sixteen-day ‘School leadership programme for school heads of government middle schools (GMS) and government primary schools (GPS) in Kohima from January 29 to February 12.

According to a DIPR report, the training was aligned with guidelines provided by the National Centre for School Leadership (NCSL), National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration, New Delhi, and aimed to improve leadership skills among school heads.

Thirty-one school heads of GMS and GPS completed the certificate course on the school leadership programme.

The resource persons for the programme included core members of the School Leadership Academy, SCERT, comprising personnel from SCERT, district institutes of education and training (DIETs), and the Directorate of School Education.
