DIMAPUR — The History department of Sao Chang College (SCC) in Tuensang conducted a workshop on the topic ‘Ethnomusicology: an introduction to Yimkhiung Naga folksongs’ at the college campus on Friday.
During the workshop, folksongs, indigenous cotton yarn making, cotton loin loom weaving and bamboo mouth organ traditional instruments were displayed by the members of Kemifu Yimkhiung Cultural Club, Tuensang, the college stated in an update.
The welcome address was delivered by Bachu Yhoshu and keynote address by Dr. Iris Odyuo.
Langnyei Imlichuba Phom delivered the vote of thanks and the programme was chaired by K Chongliu Khiamniungan,
