Kohima, June 21 (EMN): A team of twenty eight church leaders from Sumi Baptist Church Zunheboto (SBAK Nito Mount) headed by senior pastor Rev. Dr. Yevito Sumi and pastor Dr. Hutton Sumi conducted Sunday devotional service in all the quarantine centres at Zunheboto by maintaining social distancing norms on June 21.
During the services, the teams exhorted the inmates and officials at the quarantine centres on the values of self discipline, dedication and courteous attitude through the word of God, a DIPR report stated on
Sunday.
The report stated that Rev. Dr. S Yevito Sumi, speaking at one of the quarantine centres, encouraged the inmates and the frontline workers by reminding them that they were not alone in the fight. He advised them not to be discouraged as everyone is fighting the pandemic together.
He further requested the youths to be resilient and to discipline themselves by co-operating with the frontline workers.
Stating that “we are now running in a course of history,” he further encouraged them to create a good history.
The assistant pastor of SBCZ, Holika Aye, led the programme at town hall quarantine centre while other church leaders led the fellowship in various other quarantine centres.
