Dimapur, Nov. 13 (EMN): Sümi Baptist Akukuhou Küqhakulu (SBAK), Nito Mount celebrated its 75 years of mission at Sümi Baptsit Church Zünheboto (SBCZ) on November 9 on the theme "He's the master of mission in all generations" (John 5:17).
An update from SBAK Nito Mount informed that the jubilee stone was inaugurated by Rev. Hukugha Zhimo, executive secretary of SBAK Nito Mount.
In his greetings, Y Kikheto Sema, Nagaland APC and mission chairman of Rotomi Baptist Church, cited example of American missionary, who sacrificed for the mission. He informed that the first Baptist church in Nepal was started by Sümi Baptist Akukuhou Kohima.
Kikheto also added that the coming of EW Clark to Nagaland was God's purpose of fulfilling his promise to spread the Gospel. He further thanked SBAK for initiating the programme to celebrate the glorious achievement.
Rev. Khehovi A Shohe, SBC director and speaker, spoke on the topic "He is the master of mission in all generation." He quoted a Bible verse from John 20:21, wherein he emphasised on the last message that Jesus said to his disciplines to go and spread the Gospel.
Vihoto H Awomi, secretary of mission and evangelism, chaired the programme, while Hokishe Kiba, SBAK council president, delivered the welcome address and songs were presented by SBAK centre church and SBCZ choir.
Report added that special item was presented by the students of Nito Theological College, while the jubilee prayer was said by Rev. Kiyevi, mission promoter of Nagaland Mission Movement (NMM). A brief history of mission was delivered by Rev. Henito and concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Kiyeli Yepthomi, chairman of mission board.
