Sazolie College, MGM College bid farewell to outgoing students

DIMAPUR — The 15th parting social of Sazolie College, Kohima, took place on April 26 at Vineizono Hall.

According to a press release, Waloniba Jamir, vice principal, speaking on the occasion, urged the outgoing students to maintain honesty and cultivate a positive mindset as they embark on a new chapter.

Highlighting the importance of the dignity of labour, he emphasised that once they begin earning, they should take pride in their hard-earned money and never feel insignificant or embarrassed about holding a modest job.

Arenjenba delivered a speech on behalf of the juniors during the programme, and Choum Phom spoke on behalf of the seniors.

Boingam from the Political Science department won the “Student of the Year” award, which is given annually by the academic committee to an outgoing student. The selection is based on academic performance and co-curricular activities.

The Attendance Award was presented to two students from semesters II and VI, as well as three students from semester IV.

MGM College: A farewell ceremony was organised in honour of the outgoing students of MGM College, Dimapur, on April 27 in the college auditorium.

During the event, vice principal Dr. R K Behera addressing the graduating batch, commended the students for their dedication, perseverance, and academic excellence.

He emphasised that as they begin a new chapter of their lives, they should remember the lessons learned within these walls and carry them as guiding lights. He reminded them that their journey doesn’t end here; it’s merely the beginning of a new adventure filled with infinite possibilities.

It also featured farewell speeches.
