Dimapur, Aug. 17 (EMN): Satsupen Yankho (khel) has resolved to strictly prohibit consumption of liquor, narcotic drugs, immoral activities and causing public nuisance such as quarrelling, theft etc. within its jurisdiction.
The resolution to this effect was taken in a joint meeting of Satsupen Yankho (khel) along with neighbouring villages under Wokha district on August 11. The khel consisted of nine villages including Longsachung, Okhye, and Longsa under Wokha district and Kandinu, Sishunu, K Station, Tsonsa, Ekunu, Ekhanu, Kandi group chairmen forum, Kandi women association under Tseminyu sub-division in Kohima district.
The house has resolved to impose a fine of INR 1000 along with necessary action against any individual violating the resolutions.
A joint statement issued by the khel general secretary, and the chairman infirmed that the house further resolved to ban import and export or sale of liquor, narcotic drugs in and around Satsuphen area.
It has warned to impose a fine of INR 5000 against any individual or group violating the resolution.
