Medziphema, May 3 (EMN) : Nagaland University’s School of Agricultural Sciences and Rural Development (SASRD), has informed that it undertook a mass cleanliness drive in the campus through the initiative of their students’ union “in an effort to bring awareness about cleanliness and civic sense.”
The organisers issued a press release on Wednesday offering updates about the sanitation drive.
According to the press release, “The students in collaboration with the entire teaching and non-teaching faculties joined hands to partake in this activity.”
A short programme was conducted as part of the day’s activities, with resource person Sievituo Chevy, a cyclist, and proprietor of Go Travels offering encouragement.
Sievituo Chevy told the gathering that civic sense and change of attitude are required ‘in the context of the Naga Society.’ He encouraged the youths to ‘embrace the trials of life and become better individuals who can contribute to the society.’
Shortly afterwards, the students, the teaching and non-teaching staffers carried out the cleanliness drive, assisted by the Medziphema Municipal Council, the press release added.
