SASRD observes annual literacy day

Dimapur, Sep. 21 (EMN): School of Agricultural Sciences and Rural Development (SASRD), Nagaland University, Medziphema campus, celebrated its 53rd annual literacy day on September 19 on the theme “Literacy and multilingualism.”
The day was marked by class-wise competition on various events namely poetry, story writing, sketching, painting, essay writing, poster making, elocution, extempore, debate, quiz and drama.
The programme was chaired by Wonchibeni N Odyuo, SASRD students’ union literary secretary, while MoatulaImchen, prayer secretary of EUASRD, pronounced the invocation.
The Infinitoes (M.Sc.1st year) were declared as the overall winner, while the Argonauts (M.Sc. 2nd year) and Zenith (B. Sc. 3rd year) were declared 1st and 2nd runners-up respectively.
