Dimapur, March 3 (EMN): The 6
th Interclass Outdoor Games Championship of School of Agricultural Sciences and Rural Development (SASRD) concluded on March 2.
The information and publicity secretary, SASRD issued a press release on Sunday stating that the championship commenced on Feb. 28 with Col. Udai Bhanu of 41
st Assam Rifles, Medzephima town as the special guest for the opening ceremony.
During the three-day-event, the B.Sc., M.Sc., B.Voc students’ and PhD scholars’ took part in football, volleyball, basketball and cricket.
The following students were selected as MVP (Most Valuable Player)
- Football: Anish Sunwar of Audacia (M.Sc 2nd year) and Neipuseime-ű Yalie of Phoenix (B.Sc. 3rd year).
- Volleyball: W. Shangkok Konyak of Audacia (M.Sc. 2nd year) and Vivitoli of Audacia (M.Sc. 2nd year).
- Cricket: Govind of Argonauts (M.Sc 1st)
- Basketball: P. Eipa Phom of Phoenix (B.Sc. 3rd year) and Mhasilhousienuo of Zenith (B.Sc. 2nd year)
The overall MVP was bagged by Vikethozo Kulnu of Phoenix (B.Sc. 3rd year) and Tana Yagum of Argonauts (M.Sc. 1st year).
The champions of the 6th interclass outdoor games championship was won by Argonauts (M.Sc. 1st year) and Phoenix (B.Sc. 3rd year) was declared the runners-up. The Argonauts were also declared as the most disciplined team during the event.
