Dimapur, March 23 (EMN): The Southern Angami Public Organisation (SAPO) has decided to extend its ongoing total bandh within its jurisdiction to an indefinite bandh with effect from March 24 midnight. The decision to this effect was initiated as the Manipur government had failed to withdraw its armed personnel and permanent structures within 72 hours from the Kezoltsa area.

SAPO president, Kevipodi Sophie, and the general secretary, Swelul Pucho, informed that para-military forces on duty, ambulance with patients, press/ media, Tenyimi Public Organisation (TPO) executives and its unit executives, TPO board of arbitrators (BoA) would be exempted from the purview of the bandh on production of valid document.

It added that the indefinite bandh would continue until its demands are met.
