Dimapur, March 17 (EMN): The Southern Angami Public Organisation (SAPO) has decided to call for a total bandh within Southern Angami jurisdiction from March 21 to the 23rd against the failure of Manipur government to resolve the land dispute and withdrawal of Manipur armed forces within Kezolta area.
SAPO president, Kevipodi Sophie, and the general secretary, Swelul Picho, claimed that Manipur government has totally ignored and failed to address the issue despite a joint representation submitted by the president of Tenyimi Public Organisation (TPO), president of Mao Council, president of Maram Khullen and president of SAPO on November 20, 2021, to the chief minister of Manipur to resolve the disputed area amicably and withdraw the Manipur armed forces within Kezolta.
SAPO has further threatened to impose harsher action if the Manipur government fails to withdraw the security personnel from the disputed area within the stipulated period.
