Dimapur, Nov. 29 (EMN): The 44
th annual sports week of Sao Chang College, Tuensang, which started on November 27 on the theme “To the zenith” concluded on November 29 at Loyem Memorial ground with Longre Chang, president of Eastern Nagaland College Students’ Union (ENCSU) as the guest of honour of the closing function.
Speaking on the occasion, Longre Chang stated that man is by nature a social animal and therefore need social connection among friends and other members of the society through co-curricular activities. He was of the view that social attachment could be developed among young people by organising such sports activities in the educational institutions. He acknowledged the students and staff for their enthusiasm in sports and actively participating in the college annual sports week. He also congratulated the winners for displaying their skills in games and sports.
The students and teaching faculty were divided into four houses namely Manchester United, Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid. The overall champion in the sports week was won by Real Madrid house, while Borussia Dortmund and Manchester United bagged the second and third positions respectively.
