DIMAPUR — The Botany department of Sao Chang College in Tuensang organised a workshop on skill-based chilly pickle preparation for BA 1st semester students under the Skill Enhancement Course (SEC).
An update from the college stated that the workshop was aimed at equipping students with hands-on skills, fostering creativity, self-reliance and entrepreneurship.
Tekameren Walling, head of department, highlighted the importance of skill-based learning for employability and career growth, while the resource person, Yangtikhum Sangtam, demonstrated two methods of chilly pickle preparation namely raw and fried, emphasising hygiene, spice mixing and preservation techniques.

It stated that a total of 33 students and 9 faculty members participated in the workshop.
The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Tongpangkokla Chang, assistant professor.
