Dimapur, April 14 (EMN): The Career Guidance Cell at Sao Chang College in Tuensang recently hosted an insightful one-day seminar on "How to Prepare for Competitive Exams" for the outgoing 6th-semester students. The seminar, held at the college's conference hall, featured esteemed resource persons, Arhonbeni Ezung, EAC of Tuensang, and Dr. Ato Tunyi, a physiotherapist at District Hospital, Tuensang.
Arhonbeni Ezung shared her personal experiences and motivated the students of Sao Chang College to start their exam preparation from the basics. She emphasised the importance of shedding any feelings of inferiority and not considering themselves as just average students.
She encouraged them to be willing to put in extra effort to achieve their desired goals. In addition, she introduced various career options to the students and advised them to maintain consistency and follow a proper study routine to achieve their targets.
Dr. Ato Tunyi emphasised the significance of finding one's true interests when deciding on a career path. He highlighted that career choices should be based on genuine interest and passion, rather than being influenced by external pressures. He also stressed the importance of having a sense of serving the people through their chosen profession, regardless of where they may be posted. He cautioned against choosing a career solely for external reasons, as it may lead to a lack of fulfilment due to self-guilt.
Dr. Ato also encouraged the Sao Chang College students to make use of the abundant information available on the internet and take proactive steps towards achieving their dreams and objectives.
The career counselling session was beneficial for a total of 60 students from both the Arts and Science streams. The seminar provided valuable guidance and insights to help the students better prepare for competitive exams and make informed career choices.
