DIMAPUR — The internal quality assurance cell of Sao Chang College, Tuensang, organised a one-day intensive music workshop at the college premises on March 4, with Lirili Jinger, proprietor of Tuensang School of Music, as the resource person.
During the event, Jinger elaborated on various aspects of music, introducing participants to harmony, basic staff notation, creative music-making, and beats, as per a press release.
He shared how individuals can draw inspiration from various sources, such as art and poetry for music or song composition, citing his own first composed song as an example inspired by three poems. He also encouraged student participants to consider unconventional career paths, prioritise skill development, and pursue their passions.
The workshop was chaired by Hotoni Yeptho, assistant professor, Sociology department, and the keynote address was delivered by Longtichang Tzudir, vice principal, emphasising the significant positive impact of music.
The workshop was attended by 70 participants, including teaching faculty and concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mudang Khiamniungan, assistant professor, Education department.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday, around 50 participants, including teaching staff, attended a webinar titled “Market ka Eklavya,” organised by SV Wealth Partners, Wealth Management and Education, Delhi, in collaboration with Sao Chang College.
The aim was to inculcate financial education and create a favourable ecosystem by raising awareness about capital markets among college students.
