Sao Chang College engages with government middle school students
DIMAPUR — Sao Chang College, Tuensang, welcomed students from Government Middle School Chendang as part of its college extension service on Saturday.
According to a press release, visiting students were introduced to science laboratory facilities and given demonstrations of basic practical knowledge. Demonstrations included basic microscopy, freshwater aquarium maintenance, examination of flora and fauna samples, basic computer setup, measurement methods, the magnetic effect of current, and light dispersion through a prism.
It was followed by a visit to the tribal museum, library, and computer laboratory.
The students also had firsthand experience of floriculture, which is maintained under RUSA, an ongoing vocational course provided by the college.
Vegetable saplings prepared through recycling methods by the 6th floriculture batch were also distributed to the visiting school students. Altogether, 34 students and four staff members from the school participated.
