Sanis’ CHC benefitted on ‘giving back day’

[caption id="attachment_187659" align="alignnone" width="550"] District health officials along with health workers of Sanis block in Wokha district during their ‘giving back day’ programme on June 5.[/caption] Wokha, June 6 (EMN): In a first of its kind initiative in Nagaland, altogether 16 health units under Sanis block in Wokha district contributed plants, medicinal plants, herbs, flowers and medical equipments that were lacking in Sanis community health centre (CHC) during a brief programme on “Community giving back day” organised at Sanis CHC on June 5. DPM Tongpangmatsung Longkumer, who launched the programme, encouraged the employees and the community to continue contributing towards the development of health unit. District health officials including the chief medical officer, deputy chief medical officer along with vertical programmes NHP, DAPCU, Malaria, RNTCP, NLP, IDSP, Chukidong, Wozhuro/Ralan block also contributed towards the initiative. To mark the occasion, district officials along with the employees from health units under Sanis block donated medicinal plants, herbs for the herbal garden, evergreen tree, seasonal flowers, medical equipments like surgical gloves and mask to their health unit. Tongpangmatsung (DPM), Dr. Eshen (GDMO), Dr. Mhonthung (Dental), Dr. Thungchanbeni (QA), Dr. Khesheli Awomi (Epidemiologist), Mhathung Jami, DF (NHP), Gloria (BPM) along with health unit workers participated in the programme.
