Sainik School Punglwa volleyball championship concludes

Dimapur, August 11: The Sainik School Punglwa Sub-Junior Inter-House Volleyball Championship 2016-17 culminated on August 10. The event was played between six teams from different houses. Group Captain Sanjay Gaekwad, Principal, of Sainik School Punglwa gave away the medals and certificate to the winning teams.
The final in sub-junior category was played between Doyang and Tizu house on August 10. Tizu house emerge as the winner by defeating Doyang house. The overall championship was bagged by Doyang house. Cadet Lobsang Sherap of Tizu house was adjudged the best player in the sub-junior category while Cadet Khroku Ritse of Patkai house was the best player in the junior category. Earlier in the tournament, Patkai house held the title of champion in the junior category by defeating the Doyang house.
