Sanik School organises inter-house quiz competition

Dimapur, July 8 (EMN): To encourage students to look beyond the textual knowledge and to establish a relationship between theory and application of the learnt concepts, inter house quiz competition was conducted at Sainik School Punglwa on July 7.
It is one of the important annual co-curricular activities conducted with an objective of team building, broadening cadets horizon of knowledge and to prepare them for appearing in UPSC, National Defence Academy examinations.
In the competition, a total of 12 cadets participated, having a team of two cadets each representing the six mother houses of the school. The event consisted of seven rounds consisting of current affairs, literature, social sciences, science & technology, audio, visual and rapid fire rounds.Saramati house represented by Ravi Kumar and Dongwang Lowang emerged as winners and lifted the coveted trophy of the Inter-House Quiz Competition 2017-18. Doyang house represented by Tekapong Longkumer and Lenmin Perme stood at second position followed by Rishu Raj and Chiging Chilayang of Tizu House in the third position.
Principal Sainik School Punglwa, Gp Capt Sanjay Gaekwad, gave away the certificates and trophy to the winners. He congratulated the participants and exhorted them to strive for excellence. He also stressed on the active participation of the cadets in the co-curricular activities so as to bring competitive spirit among the cadets.
