Sangtams in Tuensang celebrate Mungmung festival
DIMAPUR — Advisor of IT and Communication, Economic and Statistics and Evaluation, H Sethrongkyu Sangtam, attended the Mungmung festival of the Sangtam community at Tuensang town hall on Tuesday as the special guest.
Speaking at the festival, he thanked the Sangtam Union Tuensang Town (SUTT) for organising the festival to showcases the unity among the Sangtam people of Tuensang. He stated that festival is a time for forgiveness, thanksgiving and strengthening friendship ties with one another.
He called upon the Sangtam tribe to promote and harmony with rest of the Nagas.

Describing Tuensang as the windows to eastern Nagaland, touching boundaries with all the eastern districts, he urged the Sangtam tribe to remain vigilant and set good examples for the rest of the Nagas.
Other highlights of the celebration included invocation prayer said by Dr. Imsujungba, pastor of SBL Tuensang, welcome address by H Bendang Sangtam, presentation of folksong by Sangtam Sangli Cultural Club and conferring of commendation awards to the successful NPSC candidates.
Short speech was delivered by the deputy commissioner of Tuensang, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa, and concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Atingse Sangtam.
