Sand rate fixed at INR 42 per cft

Diphu, Oct. 6 (EMN): Fours associations namely, Sand Mahaldar and Supplier’s Association (SMSA), Sand Stone Mahaldar Welfare Association (SSMWA) Balipathar, Sand Stockist and Supplier's Union Dimapur (SSSUD) and Sand Stockist and Supplier's Union Chümoukedima (SSSUC), held a meeting on Tuesday, which resulted in the fixing of new rate of sand at INR 42 per cft.

The meeting was held at Siloni Forest IB, Assam, to discuss the future course of sand business between the two states.

The associations have resolved for ‘peaceful co-ordination in the business’ and to follow the rates fixed unanimously.

Apart from fixing the rate of sand, the four associations also decided not to allow illegal supply of the resource.

They agreed to follow all the directions given by the government. It was agreed that they will continue the trade by respecting the rules issued by the government.
