Samsung unveils new Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A72 smartphones

Dimapur, March 18 (EMN): Samsung has announced on Wednesday two new Galaxy A-series smartphones, The Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A72, for the premium mid-range market. The Galaxy A52 will be available in two versions, one with 5G support and the other without.

The new Galaxy A-Series smartphones come with a Super AMOLED display along with custom colours like Awesome Violet, Awesome Blue, Awesome Black, and Awesome White globally. The new Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A72 smartphones will arrive in India soon, the company announced.

“Samsung strives to give consumers what they want and need most. That’s why we set out with a vision for the Galaxy A series to democratize Galaxy innovations for everyone,” said Dr TM Roh, President and Head of Mobile Communications Business, Samsung Electronics.

“The Galaxy A52, A52 5G and A72 encapsulate the Galaxy brand philosophy with cutting-edge innovations, services and features at an accessible price,” he added.

Both the devices come with a versatile 64MP high-resolution quad-camera that is capable of shooting 4K videos on the back.

The Galaxy A52 has a 4,500mAh battery while the Galaxy A72 sports a 5,000mAh battery and both devices are water and dust resistant with an IP67 rating.

“Also, the redesigned One UI 314 helps enable more intuitive experiences and consistent interactions by increasing speed, reducing distractions and highlighting important information,” the company said.

It may be mentioned that in February, Samsung had announced that its Galaxy smartphones will get software upgrades for three generations, and regular security updates for a minimum of four years. Thankfully, the new Galaxy A52, A52 5G, and A72 smartphones will be a part of the promised update program.

“Now with 120Hz refresh rates on the Galaxy A52 5G, and 90Hz on the Galaxy A52 and A72, the scrolling experience is even smoother,” Samsung said.

The Galaxy A52 and A72 smartphones are targeted at emerging markets like India where premium mid-range smartphones usually see a high volume of sales.
