South Korean electronics brand, Samsung, on Monday unveiled a brand-new budget smartphone in India. The Samsung Galaxy A04s is an affordable smartphone with an Exynos SoC, a high refresh rate display, a huge battery, and Android 12 OS with Samsung’s One UI on top.

The new Samsung Galaxy A04s is powered by Samsung’s in-house octa-core Exynos 850 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM. There is an option to increase the RAM up to 8GB using Samsung’s RAM Plus feature.

The device sports a 6.5-inch FHD+ IPS LCD panel with support for 90Hz high refresh rate. Additionally, the smartphone comes with a massive 5000mAh battery that supports 15W adaptive fast charging. The company claims that the battery will provide up to 2 days of power backup and also comes with “AI power management that detects and adjusts to your mobile usage habits for optimised battery life.”

On the camera department, the Samsung Galaxy A04s features a triple-camera setup comprised of a 50 megapixel main camera and two 2-megapixel depth and micro sensors. There is a 5 megapixel camera on the front for selfie duties.

The Samsung Galaxy A04s is priced at INR 13,499 for the sole 4GB RAM and 64GB variant in India. The phone is actually available in 32GB, 64GB, or 128GB of storage for the global units, however, the Indian market gets only one storage version for now.

The phone comes in four colour options: Black, copper, white and green. However, the Indian units will not be available in white colour. In addition to retail locations, the smartphone can be purchased from the official Samsung website and leading e-commerce platforms.

As part of the launch promotion, the company is offering a cash back of INR 1,000 on purchases made with SBI Credit Card, SBI One Card, SBI Slice Card, or the cards of majority of SBI’s NBFC partners.
