Samsung Galaxy A73 5G, Galaxy A53 5G and Galaxy A33 5G launched

Dimapur, March 17 (EMN): Samsung has expanded its popular Galaxy A series lineup with the launch of three new devices. The South Korean tech giant unveiled its new Galaxy A73 5G, Galaxy A53 5G and Galaxy A33 smartphones during its Galaxy A virtual event today.

The new Galaxy A series devices feature incremental upgrades as compared to previous generation. All devices will come with high refresh rate AMOLED screens, 5000 mAh battery, and Android 12 with One UI 4.1 out of the box. The company also claims that the devices will get four years of Android updates. All devices gets IP67 rating for dust and water resistance and Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

However, Samsung will not be shipping chargers or earphones with these new devices. These devices will not feature a headphone jack either.

The Samsung Galaxy A73 5G will be powered by the Snapdragon 778G chipset while the other two devices will come with an Exynos 1280 SoC.

Samsung Galaxy A73 5G, Galaxy A53 5G, Galaxy A33 5G price and availability

The Samsung Galaxy A53 5G smartphone is expected to be priced at around INR 37,800 for the base 6/128 GB model while the Galaxy A33 5G is expected to cost around INR 31,000 for the base version. The price of the Galaxy A73 5G smartphone is yet to be officially announced by Samsung.

The Galaxy A53 5G is expected to hit select markets from April 1. The Galaxy A73 5G and the Galaxy A33 5G devices will be available from April 22.

Samsung Galaxy A73 5G specifications

The bigger Samsung Galaxy A73 5G is the only one among the three to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 778G chipset. The device sports a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution and support for 120Hz refresh rate.

The device boasts a quad camera setup including a 108 MP main camera with an f/1.8 lens with OIS. The device also has a 12 MP ultra wide camera, a 5 MP macro cam and a 5 MP depth sensor. There is a single 32 MP selfie camera on the front punch hole for selfie shots.

Samsung Galaxy A53 5G specifications

The Samsung Galaxy A53 5G is powered by an unnamed 5nm Exynos 1280 SoC. The device sports  a 6.5-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-O display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

On the camera department, the device comes with a 64 MP main camera with an f/1.8 lens with OIS. Alongside the main camera, there is a 12 MP ultrawide shooter, a 5 MP macro unit, and a 5 MP depth sensor. For selfies, there is a 32 MP camera on the front.

Samsung Galaxy A33 5G specifications

The Galaxy A33 5G features a smaller 6.4-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display with a slower 90Hz refresh rate.

The device is also powered by the Exynos 1280 SoC similar to the Galaxy A53 5G.

The Galaxy A33 5G gets a quad camera setup including a 48 MP main camera with an f/1.8 lens and OIS. The camera setup also features an 8 MP ultra-wide shooter, a 2 MP depth sensor, and a 5 MP macro lens. There is a 13 MP camera on the front for selfies.
