[dropcap]A[/dropcap]CTOR Sam Worthington and his girlfriend Lara Bingle are facing a $10 million lawsuit following their violent punch-up with a New York paparazzo. Lawyers for photographer Sheng Li were poised to slap the pair with papers on Friday at their downtown hotel over the alleged assault in February. Li is accusing them of inflicting injuries, including a torn shoulder. He also accuses both of slander for allegedly making false statements about him to the NYPD. While reps for Worthington didn’t get back to us, Li’s attorney, Mark J. Heller, told us: “Fashion Week has attracted mega-movie star Sam Worthington and his girlfriend…to Manhattan like bees to honey. However, they both got swatted with a federal lawsuit, which I filed on behalf of Sheng Li…who was assaulted by the “Avatar”/“Terminator” star and his girlfriend…At the time of the assault, the Internet was flooded with images of the beat down which Sheng Li suffered at the hands of Worthington and Bingle and now they both will have starring roles as defendants in a federal court of law.”
