Dimapur, April 27 (EMN): A basic journalism course was conducted at Salesian College of Higher Education (SCHE) by the Bosco Communication in-charge Fr. Jonas Kerketta for BA 2nd sem. students from April 24-26. A press release received on Friday informed.
In his presentation, Fr. Kerketta pointed out that a well-crafted story should have five Ws (What, Who, When, Where and Why) and one H (How) in the lead of the news. The course focused on how to write news, article, and reports for the newspaper and magazine. As part of the assignment, the five groups created their own mock newspapers.
Rector SCHE, Fr. Tom Karthik exhorted the students to develop and cultivate the art of news and report writing. He said that writing is one of the means to bring about change in the society and promote good will among the people.
