Salesian brothers consecrate themselves to God
Dimapur, May 20 (EMN): Four Salesian brothers — Phikuto Xavier, Kape Mekriio Lawrence, Shongvah Ningyagmi Lucas and Lugun Michael – received perpetual profession at Christ King Chruch, Kohima on May 19.
Salesian Provincial of Dimapur Fr. Jose Kuruvachira, who administered the rite of perpetual profession, welcomed the four brothers, who had decided to make their perpetual commitment to the Lord in the Salesian Congregation, informed an update from Don Bosco College Kohima (DBCK).
Kuruvachira “requested the parents, relatives and friends of the brothers to pray for them so that they may be steadfast and strong in their vocation for a life time.” He then “exhorted them to be enthusiastic apostles of the young and zealous missionaries of the Gospel and builders of “a new heaven and a new earth” (cf. Rev. 21:1) through their selfless service and dedication and in this way put into practice the “new commandment” of Jesus to love one another as Jesus lived his disciples (cf. Jn 13:34).”
