Dimapur, June 25 (EMN): With the purpose to highlight its activities, Sakhi-One Stop Centre (OSC), Kohima, held a meeting with the District Task Force in the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, on June 25.
The meeting was organised to apprise the services of Sakhi-One Stop Centre (OSC) and Women Helpline (WHL) -181. The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Commissioner and chairperson of District Task Force, Kohima, Anoop Kinchi, wherein activities and review of cases were presented by OSC and WHL-181.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC appreciated the good team work and effort of OSC and WHL-181 and further suggested to create more awareness to the mass populace. He also suggested conducting workshop on One Stop Centre for the doctors and nurses at the District Hospital to strengthen convergence with the health department.
The meeting was attended by the representatives from the converging departments and stakeholders.
Sakhi-One Stop Centre is an initiative of the Ministry of women and Child Development, GOI, to provide integrated response and support to women affected by violence. The State resource centre for women is the nodal agency to implement OSC and 181. OSC is integrated with Women Helpline -181.
