Sakhi- One Stop Centre launches in Kiphire

Dimapur, May 29 (EMN): Chairman of the Nagaland State Social Welfare Board (NSSWB), Bano Vinito, has inaugurated Sakhi- One Stop Centre (OSC) in Kiphire on May 28 in the presence of the Deputy Commissioner, Kiphire, Shayung Phom, and other key stakeholders and community leaders.

Bano informed that OSC is a centrally sponsored scheme initiated by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India, intended to support women affected by violence. She stated that OSC is integrated with women Helpline – 181.

Gracy Ayee, SRC State coordinator, stressed on the roles of stakeholders namely police, DLSA, health and social welfare officials and district administration.

Deputy Commissioner, Kiphire, Shayung Phom, encouraged the key stakeholders to give necessary support so that OSC benefits the women in the district. He assured all possible assistance from the district administration to the OSC.
