Dimapur, May 18 (EMN): The XVII Local Board of Administration (LBA) meeting was held at Sainik School Punglwa on May 18 under the chairmanship of Major Gen A K Pattanaik, SM, Chief of Staff, HQ 3 Corps and chairman of LBA.
Gp Capt Sanjay Gaekwad, Principal of Sainik School Punglwa and member secretary of LBA, presented the report on various activities undertaken by the school. The major highlights were school budget for FY 2017-18, projects under development at the school, future projects to be undertaken with the help of Government of Nagaland and Ministry of Defence and steps taken to improve the academics and overall development of the cadets.
The board deliberated on issues pertaining to the infrastructure development projects at the school and the various steps taken to improve the NDA intake of the cadets. The members of the board were apprised on the utilisation of financial grant and the infrastructural development that are being taken up.
The meeting was also attended by Lt Col Abhishek Bharddwaj, SO-1 Edn, HQ 3 Corps; Lt Col M K Meitei, Administrative Officer; Dr. D J Rajkhowa, Joint Director, ICAR; Pollem Tep, Additionla Director of School Education & Nodal Officer; Er. Kedovisie B Meyase, Parents’ Rep; T Lankonsen Tsanglao, SDO (Civil), Jalukie and Er. Ketuoselie Kenguruse, SDO, PWD (H) Edn Div.
Meanwhile, the broad chairman also visited the ongoing project sites and took stock of progress. He also handed over an OBE Arty Gun on behalf of 3 Corps to the school as a souvenir that has been placed in the school campus.
