Dimapur, May 17(EMN): Sainik School Punglwa bade farewell to Gp Capt Sharad R Keskar, school’s principal, on being posted out and handing over the command to the officiating principal, Lt. Col. M Kiran Meitei.
The principal was given ceremonial dining-out by the cadets at the school Kenguruse cadets mess on April 26.
The farewell address was proposed by Mess Captain, Keviyanyi Chale in which he expressed gratitude to the outgoing principal for having done so much for the school with selfless dedication within a short period of his tenure.
The principal thanked the students for the faith they had on him and for the co-operation extended by them.
A social evening was organised by the Rainbow Club (Staff club) in honour of the outgoing principal in which the staff, families and their children presented variety of programme. The principal, in his usual cheerfulness, thanked the staff and families for making his stay comfortable and extending their support for which he was able to accomplish his assigned tasks.
Capt Sharad R Keskar, the outgoing principal, took over as the school’s principal on November 24, 2017. During his tenure as the principal, two cadets of Sainik School Punglwa, for the first time, entered the National Defence Academy, Pune.
