Sainik School basketball c’ship concludes

[caption id="attachment_245396" align="aligncenter" width="565"] A match in progress during the sub-junior inter-house basketball championship of Sainik School Punglwa that concluded on April 23.[/caption] Dimapur, April 24 (EMN): The sub-junior inter-house basketball championship of Sainik School Punglwa concluded on April 23 with Doyang house lifting the trophy. In an update received here on Wednesday, Gp Capt Sharad R Keskar, principal, attended the occasion as the chief guest and gave away the certificates, medals and the trophy. Saramati house and Melak house finished second and third respectively. The championship was played on league-cum-knock out basis from April 15 amongst the six mother houses. In the first and second quarters, the two teams were neck to neck on the score board.  From the third quarter, Doyang house took a comfortable lead till the match ended with a 30-20 scoreline. After the tournament came to a close, the names of potential players of the school team were announced. Cdt Rajat Rathi was adjudged the best player of the championship.
