Dimapur, Dec. 27: As part of the 60th anniversary celebrations of the Tsuswuzu Students’ Union (TSU), a new ‘TSU Library’ that was constructed under the Raja Rammohan Roy Library Foundation scheme for 2014-2015, was inaugurated at Chesezu village, under Phek district on Monday.

Retired principal director of School Education, Zaveyi Nyekha, who inaugurated the library as the event’s special guest, “stressed that library is an essential part of student’s life and encouraged them to take full advantage of the library available,” a note from the organisers on Tuesday stated.

The first day of the anniversary celebrations saw a music and art festival at the Amphitheatre, at Netaji Peak in the village.

The TSU has acknowledged the Raja Rammohan Roy Library Foundation, of the Ministry of Culture and the department of Art and Culture of Nagaland, for providing financial assistance for the construction of the rural library.
