DIMAPUR — The Rukizu Colony of Pfutsero town has condemned the recent abduction of a non-Naga construction worker by two persons reportedly associated with a Naga political group.

In a condemnation note, the colony alleged that the two accused also demanded INR 5 lakh for safe release of the abducted construction worker.

Stating that the two miscreants are neither residents of the colony nor of Pfutsero town, the colony stated that such unethical individuals are intentionally creating fear psychosis and tarnishing the image of the colony or the town.

“Such criminal act in the future will be seriously dealt with,” it cautioned.

Meanwhile, the Rukizu colony also lauded the joint effort of Kohima and Phek police in rescuing the hostage and arresting the miscreants on April 23. It further requested the law enforcing agency to award stringent punishment to the culprits as per law of the land.
