RPO Guwahati wins Passport Seva Puraskar Award

DIMAPUR — The Regional Passport Office (RPO), Guwahati was awarded the 'Passport Seva Puraskar' during the annual Regional Passport Officers' conference held in New Delhi on June 22.

The award was presented to Cherakung Zeliang, regional passport officer of Guwahati, by the Minister of State for External Affairs (MEA), Kirti Vardhan Singh, during the conference.

It mentioned that the award champions the performance of Passport Offices from amongst 37 RPO across the country, which included various parameters set by the MEA like grievance handling, average print and distribution time, files granted on same day, per staff average productivity etc.

The Regional Passport Office, Guwahati, presently caters to the states of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram and Nagaland.
